Have to start somewhere. Elections? Yes!
Elections are round the corner. Though there are no banners, buntings and wall paintings, the net is full of Elections articles! The wide range of issues discussed are interesting. Never before thoughts and information criss-crossed so much! All these won't go waste. For those, who think that 'things won't change', will be surprised to see how the information revolution can drastically change the way we live.
For a country like India, where the potential difference between sections and classes of the society is so high, the communication revolution is perforating the walls standing tall and strong, since ages. The flow across will upset the apple-cart and bound to create a new equilibrium. There are various possibilities. The majority stake holders (middle class?!) will have the balance in its favour, unless any particular class consciously makes an attempt to tilt it.
Now, who is going to make the attempt? Will the educated, committed crowd will take it up? Going by the articles in Praja, Churmuri and other blogs, one wonders why don't this class of people, who are less hypocrite, committed and dynamic doesn't get networked. The individuals stay so, or maximum get into groups which don't grow beyond 10 or 20. Will anyone think about making the group networked, strong and go beyond the net?
Let me stop here. Long articles are neither good for the writer nor the reader!
